Son’s Last Letter to His Mom

Image
Will being tears in your eyes I went to a party Mom, I remembered what you said. U told me not to drink, Mom,So I drank soda instead. I really felt proud inside, Mom, The way you said I would. I didn’t drink and drive, Mom, Even though the others said I should. I know I did the right thing, Mom, I know you are always right. Now the party is finally ending, Mom, As everyone is driving out of sight. As I got into my car, Mom, I knew I’d get home in one piece. Because of the way you raised me, So responsible and sweet. I started to drive away, Mom, But as I pulled out into the road, The other car didn’t see me, Mom, And hit me like a load.:( As I lay there on the pavement, Mom, I hear the policeman say, “The other guy is drunk,” Mom, And now I’m the one who will pay. I’m lying here dying, Mom…. I wish you’d get here soon. How could this happen to me, Mom? My life just burst like a balloon. There is blood all around me, Mom, And most of it is mine. I hear the

Some old men can still think fast

An elderly man in Florida had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple, and peach trees. One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn’t been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to him, ‘we’re not coming out until you leave!’ The old man frowned, ‘I didn’t come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.’ Holding the bucket up he said, ‘I’m here to feed the alligator.’ Some old men can still think fast.

Thanks a lot dad. YOU ARE MY LIFE.

There was a boy who was sent by his parents to a boarding school. Before being sent away this boy was the brightest student in his class. He was at the top in every competition. He was a champion. But the boy changed after leaving home and attending the boarding school. His grades started dropping. He hated being in a group. He was lonely all the time. And there were especially dark times when he felt like committing suicide. All of this because he felt worthless and that no one loved him. His parents started worrying about the boy. But even they did not know what was wrong with him. So his dad decided to travel to the boarding school and talk with him. They sat on the bank of the lake near the school. The father started asking him casual questions about his classes, teachers and sports. After some time his dad said, ‘Do you know son, why I am here today?” The boy answered back, “to check my grades?” “No, no” his dad replied, “I am here to tell you that you a

Sometimes you just have to erase the messages, delete the numbers and move on. You dont have to forget who that person was to you but you just have to accept that they arent the same person anymore.

There is no recipe for a perfect relationship

Image
There is no recipe for a perfect relationship but we can enhance it with simple gestures that mean so much to a loving heart; a kiss when you leave, a hug when you come back, a text in the middle of the day that reads “I miss you” and the promise that you will make each other a priority when you are together. ~Brigitte Nicole

You are richer than you think.

If you have family that loves you, a few good friends, food on your table and a roof over your head. You are richer than you think.

Change is the only constant.

That’s a common expression, one that I think is really true—especially when it comes to human nature. Try to remember the things that occupied the center of your thoughts 20 years ago. Chances are you have a different set of concerns that consume your mental energies now. You may even find yourself marveling now at the things you used to care so passionately about. That's because life changes us. There is an amazing journey each of us is on, where we explore something in depth for a while and then we stop obsessing about it. It moves into the background. Maybe we’ve outgrown it. Maybe we’ve put systems in place to deal with it in an automatic way. Some things that were once central to our daily purpose fade into insignificance or get entirely forgotten. Some things re-emerge to take center stage again. The point is, this cycle of change is going to keep happening. Last week I wrote about the importance of preparing for growth in an economic and practice manag
