In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.

Anger is defending oneself when you feel
threatened. Any time you have an outburst,
just ask yourself what you fear losing and be
honest with yourself, even if it makes you cry,
then tell yourself your mind is mistakenly
telling you have much less control over your
situation than you actually do, and work
toward self control. It’s the only thing you can
really control. To the situations you can’t
control, give everything you can, build the
world you want to see, acquire skills to
improve your life and the lives of people
around you. Feed the hopes, not the fears. ~
Oliva Sullen
Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the
vessel in which it is stored than to anything on
which it is poured.~ Mark Twain
We cannot see our own faults. So when others
point them out we should pay attention and be
grateful and we should not be too eager to see
the weaknesses in others. ~ Gurmel Singh
Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but
to be angry with the right person and to the
right degree and at the right time and for the
right purpose, and in the right way - that is
not within everybody's power and is not
easy.~ Aristotle
Sometimes, I'm not angry, I'm hurt and there's
a big difference.
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we
have already ceased striving for the truth, and
have begun striving for ourselves.~ Buddha
